Pair’d Margaret River – Burnt Ends & Friends

As part of the Pair’d Margaret River Festival 2025, O.C.D. partnered with We Are Gather to deliver a series of premium live-fire culinary experiences at Wills Domain Winery. Featuring internationally renowned chefs including Dave Pynt, Francis Mallmann, Andy Hearnden, and Don Macdonald, the project required a highly specialised approach to production, logistics, and fire safety management. From custom-built cooking stations to full onsite operations, O.C.D. delivered three seamless event experiences that became a standout feature of the festival program and sparked discussions for a return in 2026.

The Project

OCD was engaged by We Are Gather to design and deliver a unique series of live-fire culinary experiences at Wills Domain Winery as part of the Pair’d Margaret River Festival 2025 program.

The multi-event experience featured internationally renowned chefs including Dave Pynt, Francis Mallmann, Andy Hearnden and Don Macdonald, requiring a bespoke production and safety approach to support complex live-fire cooking in a premium guest environment.

The Service

OCD provided specialist consultancy and end-to-end production delivery across all aspects of the activation, including:

  • Live-fire cooking consultancy and technical planning

  • Fire safety management protocols and compliance planning

  • Design and construction of six custom fire-cooking stations

  • Full event production, logistics and supplier coordination

  • Onsite operations and safety management across the festival weekend

In addition to the flagship Burnt Ends & Friends event, OCD delivered two further premium experiences:

  • An Evening with Francis Mallmann – Private Signature Dinner

  • Francis Mallmann Masterclass – Exclusive Industry Session
